What to Expect
When you visit any of the Dr. John locations, our goal is to help you feel like you’re part of our family. Here’s what you can expect when you join us as a new patient.
Initial Complimentary Consultation
In your first visit to our office, we’ll get to know you, your smile goals, and make a plan for helping you achieve them.
This includes:
- Filling out new patient forms
- Imaging, including a 3D CBCT x-ray scan ($300 value)
- Exam with Dr. John
Dr. John will explain his recommendation and we’ll discuss the cost and financing options so you can make an informed decision about moving forward.
Subsequent Visits
If you decide to move forward, we’ll start treatment using the latest and best orthodontic technology, including an iTero digital scan to fully customize your treatment to your exact needs.
This includes:
Braces: Dr. John uses Damon Braces: a system that moves teeth faster and with less pressure, so your child can achieve a beautiful smile in less time and with fewer visits.
Clear Aligners: We offer Invisalign Clear Aligners: a premium clear aligner that is custom-fit to your teeth. They’re comfortable, removable, and create accurate, fast results.
Airway: We’re excited to use the HealthyStart® airway system for our pediatric airway patients. These custom-fit clear aligners are comfortable for kids to wear overnight, and kids and parents notice the difference right away.
TMJ: Our custom night guards and bite splints are made in-office for accuracy and comfort! We use Botox treatments to help relieve TMJ discomfort by relaxing overactive jaw muscles. These treatments ease tension, reduce jaw pain, and help restore comfort and function.
Aesthetic Treatments: We use cutting edge treatments like Juvederm®, Belotero®, and Radiesse® lip fillers, SpectraLase® laser for gum contouring, Boxtox treatments to soften expression lines, and Philips Zoom® tooth whitening system to help you create the smile you’ve always wanted.
Your treatment length will depend on your unique needs, though we find that many patients using braces and clear aligners will typically take around 2 years.
